Transfer 1% of tax to the PHO
środa, 11 marca 2009
Meals for children? New school? Handbooks to buy? Wells in the areas with water shortage?

PAH and it is done!
1% of your tax will help us to bring aid to the most needy.
This year witnessed a change in the regulations concerning the transfer of 1% of tax to public benefit organisations. You do not have to make a transfer at the post office any more. The Tax Office will do it for you.
But if you still want to do it yourself, it is important that you read the following instructions:
How to transfer 1% of tax to the Polish Humanitarian Action?
You have to fill in the proper entry in the yearly tax declaration (PIT-36, PIT-37 or PIT-28). After having calculated the tax amount to be paid, the next step is to enter in the last fields of the tax declaration the name "Polska Akcja Humanitarna" and the number under which the Foundation was entered in the National Court Register – 0000136833.
The amount to be transferred to PAH must also be entered, but it cannot exceed 1% of due tax, according to the tax declaration, after a round-down to a full decimal (Article 45 Section 5c of the Act on public benefit organisations and volunteering).
The amount – 1% of due tax – will be transferred to PAH account by the Tax Office within 3 months.
Transfer fees will be deducted from the calculated amount.
The transfer of 1% of tax is possible only for the tax declarations filed before the deadline (Article 45 Section 5f of the Act on public benefit organisations and volunteering).
