The project aims to improve the quality of social services provided to the most vulnerable groups of the population affected by armed conflicts in eastern Ukraine. This will be achieved by supporting social institutions with procurement of necessary equipment and goods. Our activities include the purchase of specialized equipment for social institutions in eastern Ukraine. These institutions will be supplied with equipment for people with disabilities, such as crutches and walkers. One of the institutions will also be adapted to the needs of people with motor disabilities thanks to the installation of a specialized elevator. Social workers of another institution will be equipped with bicycles, which will enable them to reach those in need who live in remote rural areas despite the lack of public transportation. This project is an additional component of a two-year initiative financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, within the framework of which PAH has been providing access to social infrastructure in eastern Ukraine and enhancing competences of social workers and social institution managers. An additional goal of this project is to build a community of social activists by organising workshops and trainings, including in the field of project management and implementation of changes in local communities. As a result the aid will reach over 1,098 people.
