2020 – UKRAINE – EMERGENCY COVID-19back

The project is a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to limit the spread of the disease and mitigate the effects of the outbreak in Ukraine. Our activities include the distribution of hygienic kits to 2,000 households accommodating the elderly or people with disabilities. These kits will cover a three-month demand. 200 people with special needs resulting from serious diseases or disabilities will also receive special assistance. Such kits, including adult diapers or absorbent pads, are often the only chance for these people to receive adequate and dignified care, as the prices of hygiene products in Ukraine have increased dramatically and their availability is limited. We will also supply 35 kits with hygiene products to four centres providing psycho-neurological aid to the elderly and disabled. One set covers the demand of 20 residents of these institutions for the period of three months (altogether PAH will provide hygiene supplies for 700 permanent residents of these institutions). Additionally, educational materials will be created to raise awareness of adequate virus infection prevention and proper hygiene.
In total, our aid will reach 2 700 people.
