The project aims to secure permanent access to drinking water for inhabitants of IDP camps. In camps with a water network we provide a daily supply of water from boreholes to municipal reservoirs. In camps without adequate infrastructure, water is transported by tankers. The water quality is tested daily. As part of the project, PAH is also responsible for the management of municipal waste and septic tanks in order to maintain a clean and safe environment in the camps, prevent the spread of diseases and maintain decent living conditions. The project includes repair and maintenance of efficient and clean latrines and showers thanks to the involvement of employees hired from among the inhabitants of the camps within a framework of a program which gives them an opportunity to earn a small income. The facilities will be renovated to ensure safety and comfort of use for women and girls, also at night. In addition, we pursue activities in the field of hygiene promotion in the camps, paying special attention to preventive measures against coronavirus infection.
As a result aid will be provided to17784 people.
