We organize regular aid transports to Ukraine for internally displaced persons and individuals who have not been able to leave their homes. We provide food and hygiene products as well as household chemicals for adults and children, taking into account the needs of the elderly, people with disabilities and infants.
Some of the activities are carried out in cooperation with our international partners, and the distribution is supported by local Ukrainian organizations.
In the Lviv Oblast, we have implemented a financial aid programme for IDPs; in total, 850 people from, among others, the towns of Zhovkva, Dubliany, Voloshynovo, Truskavets, and Morshyn received support. This activity was financed by Stichting Vluchteling.

We have started a new pilot program under which we are rebuilding and rehabilitating houses. We carry out the action with the local organization Love and Kindness, thanks to the financial support of Stichting Vluchteling.

Since the second part of April, we have been delivering food packages to the internally displaced persons, currently living in Wiszniów, Kocury and other locations in Volyn oblast. We are reaching over 600 people that were forced to flee Kiev and eastern Ukraine, as well as other parts of the country. Each package contains 1-month food supplies.
On 20 May, PAH launched “Mission Poland” in order to effectively respond to the refugee crisis in Poland. You can read more about it here.
In March, we launched the Aid Card programme which will help the refugees in Poland to buy the products they need most. The programme aims to provide such aid to 20 000 individuals. As at this moment, aid has been provided to more than 4 510 families, or 10 737 individuals.
So far, the programme has been implemented in four cities: Przemyśl, Koszalin, Olsztyn, and Stargard. Aid is provided in co-operation with the Ukrainian Association in Poland.

We are expanding the current food support programme, which allows us to provide hot meals to children from Ukraine studying in schools where “Pajacyk” operates. We are also recruiting facilities (day support centers, community and socio-therapeutic centers) for the holiday period aimed at children that are at risk of exclusion due to their refugee status.
Planned actions:
As part of the new version of the “Pajacyk – Psychosocial Assistance” programme, we will provide psychological and psychiatric support to children affected by the refugee crisis, increase the knowledge of teachers, guardians and other school staff about refugees, and provide assistance to parents and guardians. Recruitment for the „Ukraine” edition for 2022 has already been completed – more information soon.
We create information content on an ongoing basis, for example in the form of webinars and podcasts on humanitarian aid, the refugee crisis and the situation in Ukraine.
Planned actions:
The UA SOS platform was established in March at the initiative of non-governmental organizations, with the support of several companies. Polish Humanitarian Action is its partner. The platform is available in Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian.
