The project aims to provide access to water and to a safe shelter for victims of flash floods that hit South Sudan in 2019. As part of immediate assistance, PAH mobile teams distribute necessary articles, including blankets, kitchen sets, mosquito nets and sleeping mats.
In addition, our activities include the reconstruction and repair of water intakes, lavatories and distribution of products like buckets, soap, canisters or water treatment equipment. We will train water pump mechanics and hygiene promoters among the local community. We also run safety and hygiene training, as well as practical sessions that sensitize the community about the dangers of gender-based violence.
In our activities, we place special emphasis on reaching out to help particularly vulnerable groups: women, the elderly, the disabled and children. As a result, 48 000 people will receive help.
