The situation in the south of the country is dire! Because of the heavy shelling in recent days, more than 2,500 people died and 12,100 were injured. People are leaving their homes in search of a safe shelter.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the conflict with Israel, more than a million people had to flee to save their lives. Among them are Syrian refugees who are once again fleeing war \u2013 many choose to return to their country even though the situation there is volatile. The crisis unfolding before our eyes is yet another blow to Lebanon, whose internal situation is already difficult.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Million people are now displaced and each day their access to food, water, and basic medical care is worsening. As the conflict escalates, the number of people in need of humanitarian aid is rapidly growing \u2013 if the two sides don’t communicate, Lebanon is set to slide into a humanitarian catastrophe of unseen scale.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\n

With our local partner, International Humanitarian Relief Lebanon, we are going to start to help people who have been forced to leave their homes. We will be providing hygiene supplies and psychological support for children and their parents at the temporary residence centres for internally displaced persons in Tripoli in the north of the country. We have already allocated 100,000 dollars to aid the people affected by this crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

We started working in Lebanon in 2020, after the explosion in the Port of Beirut. For the last 4 years, we have been supporting young people entering the workforce there. Now, the Lebanese once again need our help.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
