On February 28, following attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces on Iran, the war in the Middle East escalated, affecting 16 countries. Many of these places were already struggling with severe humanitarian crises and large numbers of internally displaced people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Current situation:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In Lebanon, nearly 700,000 people have been forced to flee their homes; some of them are staying in around 400 temporary shelters, but many families sleeps on the streets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    More than 30,000 people – mainly Syrians residing in Lebanon – have crossed into Syria seeking refuge from the attacks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    In the West Bank, restrictions on the movement of Palestinians have been tightened.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    In the Gaza Strip, all border crossings have been closed, halting even urgent medical evacuations. There are concerns this could disrupt the supply of food and other essential goods.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
