As part of the project, the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) will provide comprehensive cash, hygiene, mental and social support to Kharkiv Oblast residents and IDPs staying in the region.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The project will be implemented in the Izyum and Kupyansk regions of the Kharkiv Oblast \u2013 one of the worst affected by the war. Support will be provided to those most likely to be affected, including elderly people, people with disabilities, displaced families and female-run households.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Around 1,000 people will receive one-off financial assistance to cover immediate needs such as the purchase of food, hygiene products, shelter or evacuation arrangements. Moreover, 2,312 people will receive hygiene kits, including special kits for children, people with disabilities and bed-ridden people, with the possibility of having them delivered directly to their homes. In addition, 1,360 people will receive psychological and psychosocial support, home care and assistance with comprehensive and individual co-ordination of activities, which will provide them with greater security and support in a difficult crisis situation.<\/p>\n

As part of co-financing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland<\/span>, PAH will provide one-time, emergency financial assistance to 171 of the most vulnerable people who have recently been displaced in the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n

The project covers those most vulnerable to the effects of the crisis, including newly evacuated persons, the elderly, persons with disabilities, large families, and households headed by women or single parents. These people have been evacuated from frontline areas and are being taken to a transit center in Lozova (Kharkiv region), where PAH and other humanitarian organizations are working under the coordination of the Cash Working Group (CWG). Each of the 171 people will receive approximately 258 USD to cover their most urgent needs for three months, such as food, hygiene products, temporary shelter, and transport to safer places.<\/p>\n
