Due to the ongoing war, the situation for civilians in Ukraine during the winter is very difficult, with the bombardment of private buildings and critical infrastructure, including power substations or heat and power plants. One of the worst affected regions are Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Therefore, the Polish Humanitarian Action has mobilised support for the civilian population living in these two oblasts. It will be addressed to the elderly and people with disabilities, families forced to flee their homes, and female-run households.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A total of 4,448 people, including 420 IDPs, will receive cash assistance for the purchase of heating devices for the upcoming winter season or in-kind assistance in the form of firewood.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The distributions are carried out in cooperation with PHA\u2019s local partners: Nove Misto in the Sumy Oblast and Stabilisation Support Services in the Kharkiv Oblast.<\/p>\n

As a result of our activities, 4,448 people will receive aid.<\/strong><\/p>\n
