Main purpose of the project is\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>o improve the safety, dignity and resilience of conflict-affected people in eastern and southern Ukraine by restoring access to essential services, strengthening protection and recovery opportunities, and reinforcing the capacity of local actors and institutions to respond to ongoing and emerging needs.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Around 10,614\u00a0people will receive improved access to safe and sustainable WASH services through the rehabilitation and upgrading of water supply and district heating infrastructure, as well as the restoration of operational water sources and rehabilitation of essential facilities. The people in need will also receive support through the introduction of energy-efficient solutions for local WASH systems and the distribution of basic hygiene kits through Inter-Agency Convoys, contributing to improved living conditions and continuity of critical services for conflict-affected populations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Another goal is to provide improved\u00a0access to safe, inclusive, and resilient community support services through the rehabilitation and upgrading of protection service facilities, including integrated Shelter\/WASH improvements and assisted living adaptations.\u00a0This\u00a0assistance\u00a0will reach around\u00a04,700\u00a0people.\u00a0The project will also support the introduction of sustainable energy solutions to enhance the functionality, accessibility, and long-term operational capacity of these facilities for vulnerable and conflict-affected populations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Unified Cash Transfers will be used to support the coverage of essential household needs arising from frontline conditions, emergency situations following strikes, and other crisis-related vulnerabilities of around 500 people. The assistance will be delivered through a structured and transparent approach aligned with defined Strategic Priorities, ensuring that support remains needs-based, adaptable to the context, and targeted toward the most vulnerable crisis-affected households.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Furthermore, around\u00a06,900\u00a0people\u00a0will receive integrated protection support through case management, psychosocial support, and legal\u00a0assistance\u00a0targeting vulnerable populations in frontline, recently liberated, and high-risk communities, including women, older people, persons with disabilities, children, and newly displaced households. Services will be delivered through mobile outreach teams and\u00a0specialised\u00a0staff across\u00a0Kharkivska,\u00a0Mykolaivska, and\u00a0Dnipropetrovska\u00a0oblasts,\u00a0while strengthened referral pathways and coordination with local service providers will ensure\u00a0timely, continuous, and multi-sectoral\u00a0assistance\u00a0in line with protection and MHPSS standards.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, at least 3 local partners will receive sub-grants and tailored capacity-strengthening support to continue and expand community-based protection, social cohesion, and livelihood programming in affected oblasts. Through partnerships with non-governmental organisations from Ukraine – BCRD, Zdorovi, and DAAS the project will strengthen locally led humanitarian response by supporting legal and psychosocial assistance, inclusive and accessible service delivery, support to frontline workers, and resilience-building livelihood activities for vulnerable households, particularly women-led households and communities affected by the crisis.<\/p>\n

In total, aid will reach\u00a022,714\u00a0people.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
