After nearly three years of war, the Gaza Strip is the scene of a massive humanitarian disaster. Over 70 per cent of the water and sanitation infrastructure in northern Gaza is not functioning. Residents are struggling with a severe water shortage, poor sanitary conditions and extremely limited access to basic hygiene products. This situation is particularly dangerous for women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities, who find it difficult to travel in search of water distribution points.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The project will provide aid to 10,600 people (2,000 families) affected by the war in the city of Gaza and in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The actions include the provision of drinking water and support for good hygiene practices, which will help to reduce the risk to public health and prevent outbreaks of diseases caused by poor hand hygiene.<\/p>\n

As part of PAH\u2019s activities, 6 litres of safe drinking water per person per day will be provided for a period of 60 days to 7,400 people, along with essential water and sanitation kits for 2,000 families, containing hygiene items, menstrual hygiene products and water containers (jerrycans or buckets).<\/p>\n

Altogether, aid will reach around 10,600 people.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
