We work in countries struggling with ongoing armed conflicts, such as Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, Somalia and South Sudan. That is why this year we say #IDontLookAway and remind everyone that we should unite to aknowledge the tragedies of other people and to help them. It is only possible to provide aid with the solidarity of people who support humanitarian organisations around the world.

Why do we need to act together?

#IDontLookAway is an act of solidarity, both with those who fall victim of humanitarian crises, and those who bring aid. Lack of access to food and water, life-threatening situations and constant uncertainty about the future are the everyday realities of people suffering from armed conflicts and natural disasters. Prolonged humanitarian crises lead to the collapse of local markets; the dramatic situation frequently forces whole families to seek shelter in temporary refugee camps or to flee to neighbouring countries. Wars and natural disasters have resulted in more than 135 million people around the world in need of humanitarian aid.
