Polish Humanitarian Action with partners would like to introduce the e-learning course: Reporting and Writing About Development in the World
Produced by Poynter Institute and European Journalism Centre.
Are you young and enthusiastic person?
Do you work in media?
Do you believe in the value of independent journalism in the public interest?
The Poynter e-learning course is the great opportunity for you not only to gain new media experience and journalism skills, but also you would have a chance to exchange your knowledge and practice with students from other countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia). What is more, face-to-face meeting with trainer Bill Mitchell will be organized in Warsaw. Producing a “development story” would be the course output obligated for each participant.
We are looking for persons who:
- Study on journalism department (last years)
- Have good knowledge of English (course will be led in English and all trainers are native speakers)
- Have media experience (practices, trainings)
- Interest in international affairs or/and humanitarian and development aid would be an advantage
What we offer:
- 12 weeks e-learning course starts at 29th February 2012 produced by well-known international media school, Poynter Institute from United States and European Journalism Centre
- Course would give the knowledge about humanitarian and development aid
- You would learn how to produce reports for multimedia and moblile platform
- Writing, reporting and other journalism techniques will be practiced/trained
- Each participant will produce a report, blog or website on international development that gives citizens of his or her home country or region relevant information on the topic
- Possibility to cooperate with Polish Humanitarian Action on other media projects (also publish articles on PAH website during the course)
