We are very proud of our recently opened training center in Beirut. During the classes, young people can learn 3D printing, robotics and how to run their own business. Supporting education and the development of new skills is extremely important in a country like Lebanon that is struggling with an economic crisis and the aftermath of a recent massive explosion....
🔵 Why is hygiene education so important to us? Because without it, the missions of providing clean water to people would be incomplete! In Somalia, we conducted a three-day training course for hygiene promoters who will teach school children about proper hand washing methods and disease prevention. Project supported by UNICEF Somalia and KFW.
The blast in the Beirut harbor killed almost 200 people. Thousands have been injured and/or lost their only source of income, very often are suffering from PTSD. One third of the city turned into rubble. Watch the film to find out how PAH is helping the people of Beirut.

💧In many schools in Kenya the problem is the lack of access to clean water. That is why we equipped 3 schools with a rainwater collection system and water tanks. In Somalia, we help people who had to leave their homes due to flash floods❗️ As part of a project financed by EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid - ECHO we have delivered emergency kits including necessary hygiene items and jerry cans to 300 affected families in Kahda and Dharkenley District.
In Kenya, we support the activities of agricultural cooperatives such as Wendano Kwa Nthei, whose members have built a sand dam and a shallow well! 💪🏿 💦 As a result, clean water will be available all year round, also during the dry season. The Project is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
💦 In Somalia, we increase access to water and safe sanitation in 5 health centers. Our activities include, among others, the construction of elevated water tanks. We have been operating in Somalia since 2011. Our priority is to provide the local people with access to clean water and improved sanitation. ‼️South Sudan has been hit by severe flooding again. Initial estimates say that 45,000 households have been affected, and it hasn't stopped raining.
