📊In Syria, as a result of an armed conflict 8.2 million people are in need of WASH assistance. Two-thirds of people do not have regular access to tap water. The average household spends 25% of its income on water. ➡️To support affected population we deliver water by water trucks, build and rebuild water and sanitation infrastructure, conduct hygiene promotion activities and provide a solid waste system.
This is how our distribution point looked like in Khabat/Iraq. Distribution needs to be: 👉time-efficient 👉safe 👉effective 👉with clear rules and a complaint mechanism 👉conduct with respect to people to whom we deliver aid
