In Poland, project measures will be carried out in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in cooperation with the Emic Foundation. They will focus on the development of the One Stop Shop model, based on the Foundation’s activities to date – a hub, where refugees can receive comprehensive support. This assistance will focus on economic inclusion and overcoming barriers to access the labour market. Planned activities include career counselling, Polish language classes, courses aimed at improving or changing professional skills and an Entrepreneurship Academy. According to the estimates, some 1,500 people will receive support in Poland.
The Italian partner – RED Nova – will focus on developing a helpline for refugees, enabling access to legal advice and information on community services. There are also plans to extend the scope of support to include career counselling. Some 1190 people will receive support in Italy.
Based on the experiences of organisations in Poland and Italy, OPORA, a Dutch foundation focusing on migration and refugee studies, will conduct a series of surveys to identify challenges and develop solutions that can be scaled and implemented in different contexts. These activities will result in the improvement of the work of PAH, Emic Foundation and RED Nova, the development of innovative solutions and a publication on a set of best practices that can be applied in other countries and environments.
