The project will be implemented in Dnipropetrovska, Kharkivska, Khersonska, Sumska, Donetska, Zaporizka, Volynska, Chernihivska, Odeska and Mykolaivska oblasts, including frontline communities, isolated villages and people on the move.

Around 13,300 beneficiaries will receive emergency shelter and non-food items support, including shelter kits and materials, humanitarian repairs to damaged homes, rehabilitation of social institutions and collective centers, winterization assistance, and distribution of essential non-food items.

Around 1,400 beneficiaries will be supported with cash assistance to increase their ability to meet the basic needs.

Around 33,000 beneficiaries will be provided with emergency WASH support, including emergency water supply, repairs and support to water systems, targeted assistance to Vodokanals and district heating services, rehabilitation and accessibility improvements of WASH facilities, and distribution of WASH NFI kits.

Around 34,250 beneficiaries will have access to lifesaving protection services, including home-based care, individual and group psychosocial support (PSS) and psychological counselling for adults and children, legal assistance, case management for the most at-risk individuals, awareness-raising activities, and safe referrals. Support will also include PSS activities in collective centers and communities, as well as capacity building for social workers, first responders, and partners.

The project aims to localize joint efforts of PAH and implementing partners. Local organizations have a deep understanding of the context: they know the specificities of communities, local needs, cultural norms, and sensitive issues. This allows them to develop solutions that truly meet the real conditions and aid the affected population.

In total, aid will reach 72,495 people.
