The project being run in the south-central regions of Somalia with PHA partners is intended to achieve a few goals:
- Increasing stability and inclusivity, as well as the resilience of community groups involved in the project;
- Improved access to sanitary facilities for men and women, health care and psychological and legal assistance;
- Ensuring food security and opportunities for women and young people to find a sustainable income;
- Strengthening cooperation and the information exchange process.
The people covered by the project will include adult women and men, young people, children, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), minority representatives, and people from low-income families.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with local authorities in schools, local hygiene promoters, agricultural cooperatives, water management committees and associations responsible for loans and savings.
