Education is a basic human right but for children in the war devastated Iraq, attending school is often a privledge. School buildings are destroyed and water and sanitary infrastructure does not exist. ➡️ PAH builds washrooms for students and conducts hygene promotion seminars. No bell, not even a roof over their heads but these children in the Yei province in South Sudan love their new school. Their parents were internally displaced and to make sure their kids could learn, they started teaching them themselves. There is no infrastrucure so PAH is renovating old toilets and installing temporary facilities for cleaning hands. We also helped establish School Hygene Club. In response to the needs of the flood-affected communities in Jowhar, in Somalia, we have distributed hygiene kits to 700 families. ➡️ What you can find inside it? Bucket, jerrycan, soaps, water purification tablets , and mosquito nets. Those objects are an essential element for maintaining health and hygiene in crowded camps, which provide temporary shelter for people who lost their homes due to floods.
