On February 28, following attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces on Iran, the war in the Middle East escalated, affecting 16 countries. Many of these places were already struggling with severe humanitarian crises and large numbers of internally displaced people.
Current situation:
In Lebanon, over 84,000 people are staying in approximately 400 temporary shelters.
More than 30,000 people – mainly Syrians residing in Lebanon – have crossed into Syria seeking refuge from the attacks.
In the West Bank, restrictions on the movement of Palestinians have been tightened.
In the Gaza Strip, all border crossings have been closed, halting even urgent medical evacuations. There are concerns this could disrupt the supply of food and other essential goods.
We provide aid to people in Middle Eastern countries who are suffering because of the war.

We have been working in the region for 28 years, supporting people affected by wars and natural disasters. Currently, we operate in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen.
In the Gaza Strip, we provide access to clean water and have delivered food packages. In the West Bank, we run mobile clinics, train medical personnel, and provide healthcare in hard-to-reach areas. In Syria, we support access to water in refugee camps, where many families continue to face the consequences of years of civil war.
PAH has been conducting development activities in Lebanon for six years. However, the country is still in the midst of a huge crisis. The current wave of violence may prove to be a blow that the country and its inhabitants will not be able to withstand.
